A complete rewrite of the script Rhapcity Blues was finally "completed" this past June.

The story was greatly improved by omitting many unneccessary characters that seemed to slow the pace of the fantasy musical.

Rhapcity Blues is about Trane, a member of an urban street gang who is struggling to reinvent his identitly with a sordid past while taking care of his sick mother.   Hanging out with his gang, Trane bumps into Lily, who is also searching for her identity after the loss of her parents.

But their love is threatened by Lily’s brother,  Ren, the leader of Trane’s old rival east-side gang, The Shadows.

Extreme emotion causes the inhabitants of Rhapcity to break out into song.  Happiness, hatred, anguish, and love are all amplified by the music of the city to visually transform reality.  Can love transmute violence; can song transpose actions; can Trane and Lily compose a sound future for themselves and Rhapcity?
